Or would you rather see the mountains from the air? Sauerland's parasailing school is just around the corner!

Visit Fort Fun amusement park, go karting, swimming, visit the old ore mines, the wildlife park or the panorama park.

ERLEBNISBERG KAPPE
Erlebnisberg Kappe in Winterberg offers fun for everyone!
Go down the mountain with your toboggan, enjoy the panorama on the Erlebnis bridge or go wild on the BMX track.

The climbing forest (Kletterwald) is also highly recommended!

TO WALK
Thousands of kilometers of signposted hiking trails can be found throughout the Sauerland.
Some hiking trails start directly in our garden, including the one to the largest waterfall in Sauerland.
​
Other beautiful hiking areas are the Sorpetal, Orketal, the Kahler Asten and the Briloner Wald.
FORT FUN
With children in Sauerland? Then a trip to Fort Fun Adventure Land should not be missed! This amusement park is located a stone's throw from Elpe and offers many attractions, including roller coasters, Ferris wheel, toboggan run, wild water slide and many themed worlds.

But also a large playground, animals and some shows are not missing! A day of fun guaranteed

AQUA OLSBERG
Tired of many sports? Or just want to relax? Then visit the thermal baths of Aqua Olsberg.

This complex has several swimming pools, saunas, steam baths, hot tubs and a large sun garden.

MOUNTAIN BIKING
Sauerland is a paradise for cyclists!
Both tour cyclists on the paved roads and mountain bikers on the many forest trails.

There are dozens of signposted routes and bicycle rental locations are everywhere in the larger towns.
​
Bicycles can easily be stored in our cellar.

CITIES AND VILLAGES
In the immediate vicinity are many nice and beautiful places to enjoy culture or shopping.

Winterberg has a pleasant center with many shops, visit the beautiful castle of Bad Berleburg, the old Hanseatic city of Soest, the center of Brilon or the proud capital of Sauerland Arnsberg!
VISITOR'S MY RAMSBECK
Sauerland's heydays are those of mining in the last century. In the area you will find quarries and memories of this mining everywhere.

The largest mine in Sauerland is right below our lodge! Via the museum in Ramsbeck, on the other side of the mountain, you can go on an adventure deep underground. Via the original train you drive deep into the mine and start a fascinating tour through the tunnel systems and large machines.

LAKES
The many valleys of the Sauerland are dotted with many lakes and larger reservoirs. The largest and most famous lakes are the Hennesee, Möhnesee, Biggesee & Edersee. Here you will find many beaches, terraces and it is also possible to explore the lake with a tour boat or sailing boat.

A nearby reservoir with many recreational opportunities (swimming, surfing, wakeboarding, water skiing, etc.) is the Hillestausee in Niedersfeld.
